Robert Pattison cast as our new Batman?

With Ben Affleck's time behind the cape and cowl over, a new report says that Twilight star Robert Pattison will now patrol Gotham's nights.

Variety reports that Pattison will star in "The Batman" (unoffocial title) for director Matt Reeves, whose credits include the last two films in the modern Planet of the Apes franchise, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes.

There is still no official confirmation but sources close to the project have all but staked their life on the new development. The new film by Reeves is said to serve as a reboot of the Batman franchise which will also tie into DC's Extended Universe films.

The Batman is slated to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
