Aquaman is now DC's No. #1 film, passing The Dark Knight Rises

James Wan epic superhero film Aquaman, has just surpassed The Dark Knight Rises to become DC's highest grossing superhero film. The film continues it's "leggy" performance as it earned $1.09b worldwide, beating the $1.08b of 2012's third entry in the Nolan Trilogy.

The exciting pic earned another $7.3m at the North American Boxx office to pass $316m at the domestic box office. The film is yet to open in Japan next month which should add more the the bank for WB. Rumours are already abound that James Wan is being courted to return for a sequel, as the powers that be try to get a great script to carry on Jason Mamoa's titular hero.

Shazam! is up next for DC, opening in theatres on April 5th, 2019
