The audience will be getting a batman connection in the upcoming Martin Scorsese produced "Joker" starring Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Dante Pereira-Olson has been cast as a young Bruce Wayne. That is not the only casting coming to light as British actor Douglas Hodge, who portrayed Sir Robert Loxley in the 2010 adaption of Robin Hood, is also tapped to play the Wayne's trusty butler, Alfred Pennyworth.
Brett Cullen will play Bruce’s father Thomas Wayne following Alec Baldwin exiting the role.
There are other notable stars set to appear in the gritty film including Robert DeNiro, Marc Maron and Zazie Beetz.
The film is directed by Todd Phillips and is due in theatres next year.
