Dark Knight influenced fan film Puppet Master

It isn't very often we here at Batman-Online pay attention to fan-films (no offense intended to those put in the hard work on them) but when the people behind this one contacted us we were intrigued by the concept. They are also looking to raise funds to help with the production (link here)

Some Dark Knight fans, after finding out that Nolan would not be including The Riddler in his final installment, decided to take it upon themselves to shoot their own short film involving Edward Nigma. If you have 5 minutes please check out the animatic and preview for our Dark Knight Fan Film:

Batman: Puppet Master is a short fan film set in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight universe. The story is meant as a sequel to The Dark Knight and will bridge the gap between that film and the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises. This is a film created by fans for fans and will deliver an exciting storyline that will introduce fans to new versions of Mr. Zsasz, Scarface, and Edward Nigma (aka The Riddler), who fans were expecting to appear in Nolan's third Batman film.

The film currently has an anticipated release of July 2012
