Christopher Nolan's complete "Dark Knight" trilogy will screen in digital Imax...Batman Begins has been converted.
Warner Bros. has partnered with AMC Theaters to screen the trilogy at a 296 AMC locations in the U.S., of which 76 will now be in Imax.
Trilogy screenings for regular and Imax houses will begin at 6 p.m. on July 19, leading up to midnight showtimes of The Dark Knight Rises.
AMC programming prexy Robert Lenihan said, "As anticipation for 'The Dark Knight Rises' has risen, our guests have made their voices heard about the kind of experience they expect for this installment of what's become a legendary franchise. We have been working to ensure we could provide our guests an event that was truly, completely in Imax."
The Imax "Dark Knight" package costs $40 per ticket vs. $25 for non-Imax screenings. Both limited-seating engagements include a collectible lanyard and commemorative poster, as well as a $5 voucher for AMC Stubs members to be used that day.
The Dark Knight Rises hit cinemas on July 20th.
