About this image:
The shot was completed entirely with miniatures and scenic art under the auspices of visual effects supervisor Derek Meddings. In the foreground was a miniature bridge - twenty feet long - equipped with red and white tracer lights to simulate car lights. The river underneath was two layers of sliding black plastic topped with miniature tugboats pulled on hidden wires. The background skyline was a sixty-foot-long scenic painting with backlit translucent window areas.
