About this image:
Aron Baxter: "There were about 6 or 7 versions of the Batmobile being made. There were styrafoam versions on moveable platforms. There were fibreglass versions with old car engines. One Ford Mustang engine didn't fit the shape of the design for example. Overall, I remember a lot of back and forth between the designers and the Batmobile workshop. The design was refined and redrawn many times and then submitted to the skilled builders of the new evolutionary vehicle. I shot these photographs as one incarnation was being presented by Terry Ackland-Snow to Tim Burton."
