Creating the background matte plate for the Arctic Zoo scenes. Lining up to the trees in the rear projected shot, artist Bill Mather extends the tree branches. A live-action plate of Cobblepot's parents pushing the black carnage was incorporated into a matte painting of the old zoo grounds backed by the towers of Gotham City.
