I just thought I'd say that.    ;D

Anyway, feel free to use this thread to add any random comments about the two Burton Batman films.  Why do you like them?  What got you interested in them?  What details do you notice when you watch them?  What are your favourite lines of dialogue?  Who are your favourite Batman actors?  Who are your least favourite Batman actors?  What would have made the films better, or are they perfect as they stand?

Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

oh...and keep it about the burton movies  ;)

The bit in B89 where Bruce Wayne lies about not being Bruce Wayne worked for me when I first saw it as a kid.  When I got home after seeing it, I suddenly connected Keaton to Mr. Mom.  But before that moment... I had no effin' clue who he was.  So when he said he wasn't Bruce, I figured it was just a throwaway scene and Vicki would keep on going until she found the right guy.  So him turning out to be Bruce after all played pretty well with me.  I found out the truth when Vicki did.

"Do you like eating in here?"   ...Oh yeah. .. ....   ... ... ...You know to tell you the truth, I don't think I've ever been in this room before.
"hahaeheheh"  You want to get out of here?  "YES."

Now, I think TDK is the best film, but I love the two Burton films. I watched them pretty much every day. That went on for a long time. They will always have a special place in my heart. Nostalgia goes a long way. I think the music is the best part of both films, plus Keaton was splendid in the suit.

"You wanna get nuts, come on, lets get nuts!!"

Best quote ever

"Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?", and "Wait till they get a load of me!" are just classic.

QuoteWho are your favourite Batman actors?

Keaton and Bale of course. Kilmer was alright. West was great for his time.

QuoteWho are your least favourite Batman actors?

Not a fan of the Clooney.  >:(

What comes to mind at the moment, is that I would have loved for Returns to have been more of a direct sequel to the 1989 effort than it ultimately turned out to be. I don't believe Burton approached Returns as a "Part 2" and personally I think it shows in the final product. Great movie, but I would have preferred more of a connection.

"It'll be a hot time in the cold town tonight."
"Never rub another man's rhubarb."
"Don't bother."
"You've got kind of a... kind of a dark side, don't you?"

The Burton films have a lot of good lines in 'em.

1. "Have you ever danced with the devil by the pale moonlight?"

Very memorable. As Jules from Pulp Fiction would say, it's some cold-blooded sh*t to say to a mother****er 'fore you pop a cap in their ass. Just an all round awesome quote.
