STOP THE PRESSES!!!

It turns out I was in error.  BATMAN premiered on HBO on JULY 8th, 1990.  Not the 7th.  I was looking for the BATMAN RETURNS dates and just ran across that information.

Give me a call when we are celebrating Batman Forever. Burton's films seem, to me, pretty depressing and I don't want that right now.

No offence Darrell, and I'm sorry if things are bad in your life right now, but surely this site is mainly about celebrating the Burton films.

Most people on this site (and it's possible I've got this wrong) think Schumacher's Batfilms were travesties and certainly not worth celebrating.

Besides, dark is not necessarily the same thing as depressing.  If I'm feeling down, I'm probably not going to watch a social-realist film, but I'll still enjoy watching Burton's movies.  More than likely, they usually pick me up from a bad funk.

If anything, I find Batman & Robin, and to lesser extent Forever, the most depressing of the Bat-films.
Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.
