I've dated a few dumb brunettes too.

I've dated very few brunettes, and seem to primarily date blondes.

Which isn't by choice (I've grown to accept it), but that's just how it always seems to work out. Unlike a good friend of mine, who 9 times out of 10 always finds himself dating brunettes (redheads being the other, and I don't recall seeing him with a blonde in the past 10 years). Unfortunately, he also has the absolute worst luck in relationships.

Seriously though, the Ice Princess has got to be the dimmest person in a Batman movie by far (maybe, any comic book movie for that matter), followed by Batman & Robin's version of Bane, and then possibly Chip Shreck.  It always makes me giggle when the princess in her dressing room rehearsing the two-stage process for lighting the christmas tree, and then has to refer to instructions in order to understand that she is required to press the button before the tree lights up.  That she believed that The Penguin and The Poodle Lady were talent scouts was also pretty funny.

I wonder how the batarang hit her, like how it stuck in. Shortly after when Batman meets her, she looks perfectly fine.

I think she has a bruise on her forehead in the scene where Batman comes to her rescue.

Otis (from the Superman films) might give her a run for her money on that.

"Do you know why the number two hundred is so vitally descriptive to both you and me? It's your weight and my I.Q."
;D

I still think the Ice Princess edges in front of Otis in the backwards stakes, though at least she's infinitely better to look at.

I don't know, The Ice Princess just came across as a typically airhead. With Otis, steps were obviously taken to make him look like a complete fool. Be it his actions, the often prolonged confused look on his face, or that hilarious music that would typically accompany him during his appearances.

But yeah, the Ice Princess is infinitely easier on the eyes, and I don't think you'll have anyone argue that unless they are inbred, backwoods hillbillies with a few teeth in their skull at best.

Otis was incredibly dumb, it's true, but to be fair, he was being asked to help his employer coordinate the destruction of California, whereas all the Ice Princess was required to do was light a frickin' tree.

Plus Superman was a much more broadly comic film than Batman Returns, so Otis' immense stupidity probably seemed less extreme in the context of the story.

Anyway, where do you think they would each rank on an IQ scale?   :)

Aiding Lex in his real estate scheme was a pretty grand, but even before we as a audience even knew about that, it was evoked that Otis was a complete buffoon.

Like Lex said, "It's amazing that brain can generate enough power to keep those legs moving!"  ;D

Ice Princess does come across as lacking in the IQ area, yes. But I don't find her exceptionally more or less bright than some girls you can meet in everyday life. If not for Batman Returns, I think she would have been right at home in the movie, Clueless. Where with Otis, I would say he would have made a pretty good fit as the father of one of the main character's in Dumb and Dumber.

Taking a Joker's wild guess:

Ice Princess - Mild mental retardation    50?69

Otis - Moderate mental retardation    35?49

I think you're probably right Joker.  Otis was pathologically stupid but probably aspired to be much smarter than he was, whereas I guess the Ice Princess was someone who although innately dim, probably compounded things by dedicating her life to hair, makeup and shopping, rather than learning.  Like you I would guess that whilst the princess' IQ was 'merely' way below average, Otis' low level of intelligence was bordering on complete dysfunction.

I really like your analogies with other film characters.  Otis would definitely be right at home in a Farrelly Brothers movie as say Jim Carrey's even more grossly stupid dad, whilst the Ice Princess does strike me as a WASP version of the dim-witted spoiled rich girls in Clueless.  How do you think they'd both have got on in high school?
