I loved the way batman reacted as he first came onto the rooftop to see the Ice Princess on the ledge.  He was immediatly wary of some trap that startled look on Keatons face was why i loved him so much, he was able to convey emotions through the suit it was a situation where HE wore it instead of it wearing him.

It's just a shame that no one tried to stop her fall, instead of just standing there like deer caught in the headlight.
What could have they done?

I don't think it would be possible to catch someone falling at that speed.

I'm not fully sure about that, because even the unimaginable could happen sometimes...

He could've jumped off the ledge and atleast gave it a shot, we knew he had the glider, batty did it in in TDK with Rachel, theres no reason he couldnt of given it a shot in BR.

I have given a name to my pain, and it is BATMAN.

So no chance of being chemically revived after death like in, "The Joker Walks the Last Mile"?   :(   ;D

That's one of the few sequences in the otherwise brilliant TDK that I have a problem with, bearing in mind the film's 'realism'.  Anyhow, Batman was too far from the Ice Princess when she fell and there is no way he would have been able to catch her.

I do have a couple of questions about her part in the film.  Near the start of the film, at the tree-lighting ceremony, it's apparent that the Ice Princess has two fairly large minders/ bodyguards in tow.  They remove her fur coat before she presses the switch, and appear to shield her during the Organ Grinder's gattling-gun assault on the podium.  So where were the bodyguards when The Penguin marched into her dressing room and kidnapped her?

Also, in the original screenplay and novelisation, the princess is depicted as pushing an old lady to the ground whilst she tries to get away from the Red Triangle Circus Gang during their raid on the tree ceremony.  Does anybody know whether this was filmed?  It's a pity that it wasn't left in the film, since it would have added a note of poetic justice to the princess's fate (not that she deserved to die, but it would have made her character less sympathetic - as it is, she seems to be 'punished' merely for being a bimbo).
Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

Sure.

But the folks in the crowd and on the podium couldn't have done much at all.
