Sound Mix For Batman '89

Did the film ever receive a proper sound mix? I've noticed over the years that the sound effects were mostly borrowed from other films (Dirty Harry, Aliens, Superman III, and others). Also, Elfman stated he wasn't happy about the final mix for his music. It makes me wonder if the sound mix was really a tempt.

Most of the gunshots are the same ones used for Harry Callahan's .44 Magnum. Some of the Batmoblie's noises were taken from the sound effects for the cargo-loaders from Aliens. Finally, some sound effects for Superman III, taken from the Supercomputer and its subsequent explosion were used as The Joker?s joy buzzer and explosions in Axis Chemicals, retrospectively.
