Exactly, and the thing is Oldman was really good playing a normal decent guy.
Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

Now that I think about it, Ms. Zeta-Jones would make a lovely Talia al Ghul (bet she could make a good Arabian accent, too). Just look at the resemblance:

And here's a fan made Burton movie poster someone made with her in it:

Hey guys, what you think about Joseph Gordon Lewitt as The Joker for B3? He looks so much like Ledger!

I just saw a picture of him in the paper, and I thought, wow, he DOES look like Ledger! Not sure if he could pull it off acting wise, have to wait and see if he survives G.I.Joe unscathed.
Why is there always someone who bring eggs and tomatoes to a speech?

He really looks like Ledger's little brother, but it's highly unlikely for Nolan to reuse Joker in the third film, for obvious reasons. Not to mention replacing Ledger would be a thankless task, a case like "Lewitt playing Ledger playing the Joker", and not "Lewitt playing the Joker", even career-destroying for him (here I also quote some articles/editorials on the subject, one can read about this in several places, since he's cast in Nolan's upcoming film, "Inception").

You never know with Nolan of course.

I do think they need to hold off on the Joker for a while, maybe in ten to twenty years, just like from Jack to Heath, because, as Selinig said, it would be "Lewitt playing Ledger playing the Joker", which is my biggest problem with Brandon Routh as Superman. He was playing Christopher Reeve playing Superman. I still want to se how he(and the rest of the cast)handle being in G.I.Joe which could be really good, but more than likely really BAAAD!(Stephen "van Helsing" Sommers Ewwwwww!)

That's exactly way casting a distinctive actor/actress is a better option.

Oswald Cobblepot/ The Penguin - Toby Jones (W and Frost/Nixon)

Smart choice! He would definitely be interesting. Would also work as Mad Hatter or the Ventriloquist (with Scarface), though likely too fantastical for the Nolan Universe.

I was thinking of Dominic Monaghan as the Riddler.

Thanks for the endorsement 'Batman'.

Although I see what you're saying about The Penguin being too fantastical for Nolan's Universe, I think if anyone could make the character credible but still recognisably close to The Penguin, it would be Toby Jones.
