Well to each their own, but when I look at all of my old pinup books and artwork I very much see Nicole more in line with that then Elle, sorry I just dont find her attractive one bit, and definitly not "classic" in any way at all.

Oh and Nicole's career did start before the 90's, what was any good that Elle ever did? I dont recall one thing lol

I cant agree with that one bit, Im a huge fan of classic beauties from the 40's-60's and Kidman fits the bill perfectly, just do a little research on that and maybe you'll see that.

I thought the wardrobe for Elle looked tacky, not classic in any way possible and definitly not sexy one bit, you should define it differently than "classic" because shes much more of a modern looking woman, where Nicole has qualities that women did in the era I stated, much like Michelle did in BR regardless of hairstyle and clothing.

Whoah, no need to be so aggressive over such a light-weight topic.  I am familiar with the classic beauties of the 1940s.  I even posted a thread in the forums regarding the actors and actresses I would have cast in a 1940s Batman series.  So I think you should retract your somewhat harsh 'research' comment.

To be fair to Kidman, she was made up to look like one of the classic beauties of the Golden Era in Batman Forever, much like many of the other Bat-women were, but if you look at many of her early publicity pictures, she was comparatively pale, skinny and had frizzy ginger (not red) hair, essentially a tomboy look (all the way from BMX Bandits, to Dead Calm and Far & Away).

Whilst I think that Elle Macpherson's Amazonian stature rules her out of being a classic beauty in the 1940s sense, she does have a classically beautiful face, which is evenly proportioned rather than long, and a healthy complexion.  Also, bear in mind that she was a top supermodel (not simply a catwalk model, who do often tend to have unconventional features), whereas, Kidman was one of the few Batman film actresses who was neither a model like Kim Basinger, nor a beauty queen, like Michelle Pfeiffer.  That's not to say that Kidman isn't/ wasn't very beautiful, but unlike many of the other women cast in the films, I never got the impression she was considered very beautiful until sometime around the mid-1990s.

Also, I don't see how Macpherson's wardrobe was 'tacky'.  If anything was tacky, it was probably Kidman clutching a sheet against her naked body in one scene, and then earlier thrusting her breasts into Batman's face when she used the Bat-signal to get his attention.

Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

Clutching a white sheet around a beautiful naked body is much more sexy then a tacky wardrobe made by people making costumes and clothing for a "cartoon" movie, pretty much everything in that film looked tacky and hideous, nothing was attractive. But again thats my opinion, not yours so thats that.

Gobbs theres one thing about me you obviously havent picked up on yet, and Im not sure how long you've been on here ( cuz Ive been gone for a while), I never retract any of my opinions or comments regardless of what anyone says, because I really dont care to. I may seem harsh or like a jerk, but thats how you take it and Im sorry if you take it that way. ;D

Well, you're not going to get me defending Batman & Robin either.  It was pretty atrocious.  All I'm saying is that Elle Macpherson, Vivica A. Fox and Vendela were among the few bright sparks (albeit pure eye candy) in an otherwise dismal film, and I suppose Clooney and O'Donnell would fulfil the same role as male eye candy, since everyone's acting in that film left a lot to be desired.  If none of that 'floats your boat' I imagine the film must be a complete and utter nightmare to sit through, since it has few (perhaps no) other redeeming qualities.   ;)

Though to be honest, I don't actually think Forever is that much better a movie either.  Bear in mind that it was made by almost all the same personnel as B&R (primarily Schu'hack'er and Akiva Goldsman).

I'm not interested in making enemies on this site, and I won't suggest that you change a habit of a lifetime, but I guess my style is a bit more diplomatic. If I'm wrong, I'll say I'm wrong.  No shame in that.  I've got enough confidence in my convictions to know that most of the time I'm right (hope that doesn't sound arrogant, but what the hell  :))
