Robin had only a tiny part on why the film made more money. How about it was a more broad open film to take your family to during the summer break, than a deep dark gothic film ( taking place during christmas) with a mutant penguin biting noses and oozing black goo out of his mouth?

I understand this completely, I know that there are different reason's for the success of Batman Forever, considering the fims direction and tone.  I just feel that although Robin had a small role,  it paved the way for older and younger audiences.  Therefore bringing more viewers and making more money.

It definitly gave alot of teenage girls at the time a good reason to love BF, O'Donnel was a heartThrob at the time if I remember correctly.

I have given a name to my pain, and it is BATMAN.

True.

I agree that Tommy Lee Jones came off like the Joker in Two-Face gear, however if you watch his eyes and some very subtle facial expressions, hidden within the more manic ones, you get a small glimpse of what might have been. for example, in his opening monologue, which is his best scene, he starts getting more intense on the outburst of  LUCK!  The right side of his face looks VERY pained and angry,as he gets too the "Doo-Dah Clueless... " part the epxression suddenly turns to evil glee. It's not much, but it's an awesome moment.

The other thing I will say about Tommy is that while it's basically an incorrect interpretation of the character, He is the only convincing performance out of the main five actors. At least I was convinced this guy was INSANE! It wans't the correct type of insanity, but Kilmer was uninvovling, Kidman was some trumped up harlot, O'Donel spent the entire moive making punk faces, and I've only recently begun to see any actual acting by Jim Carrey in recent films, but It's plausible that Tommy's character is a dangerous mental patient. He gets more milaege out of his eyes in this film.

The other good thing about this movie is Alfred. He Rocks BIG TIME!

"Perhaps the Dogs are Hungry..."

Completely out of character, but I laughed hysterically at Two-Face flipping his coin all the time in that scene.
Why is there always someone who bring eggs and tomatoes to a speech?
