I'm afraid I didn't like JOKER all that much.  It seemed like a typical mob story that happened to have Batman villains instead of gangster in it.  Not my cup of tea, personally.

I haven't got nearly as many as you's , but it's still growing larger. My fav that i have read is Face The Face, it's not that old but i thought it was pretty good.

To tell the truth i haven't heard of JOKER before, what is it about, can you still buy it?

And yes Sandman, you will be able to pick up Joker. It has just been released in hardcover.

This is my collection so far:

I'd like to recommend that you pick up Batman In The Seventies.  While you're at it, Strange Apparitions is a must too.

Lastly, the War Games series is highly recommended too.  I think there are three in the main series, plus a couple of follow ups.  This particular line has a lot of that "chaos in the streets" vibe that you seemed to enjoy in TDK.  Also, a big supporting character bites it.  Mind you, it doesn't last because DC has never had the balls to leave characters dead for very long but whatever.  Seriously, some day I expect to pick up a Batman comic and find out that Jason Todd has secretly been conspiring with Thomas and Martha Wayne as well as the Graysons to get to Batman.  Unbeknownst to them all, however, Sheila Haywood actually survived the bombing after all, and she and Mrs. Drake are working to bring the mob back to Gotham to oust the freaks.

Still.  War Games.  Great read.

I have Batman in the 70's its great, I have all of the collections of Batman in the _ whatever era, those are a great start in getting to know all about batman.
