David Ayer can argue in favour of his cut all he wants, but unless he stops kissing his so-called friend's ass and starts pushing hard for his cut to get released, nothing is going to happen and he will eventually lose support. Again, I'm fed up with him trying to appease all sides with his conflicting Twitter shenanigans.

A week and a half ago, a fan called Will Rowlands replied to a video made by Zachary Levi, who mentioned TSS was better than the original.

Quote
Hey @ZacharyLevi I have seen the #AyerCut of SuicideSquad. Trust me, it's a million times better than TSS & the theatrical SS. I also recall you publicly saying SnyderCut didn't exist. I find it hard to believe this speech with you track record of accuracy.

If there's lie Going around re James. Correct them. Let us know who or what is wrong. I like many other want justice. But until it's explained to me why he tweeted what he did & was or is friends with convicted pedo's, I struggle to forgive or forget. Remember your target audience are kids.

I find this highly unlikely, but now Will Rowlands indicates that the Ayer might see the light of day.

The unofficial Ayer cut Twitter account corroborated that Will is one of the administrators who watched the cut, shown to him by David himself.

If Will is telling the truth, my main concern is how Gunn - knowing what a snake he is - would weaponise its release. "See? I gave you at least one of the things you wanted, show some gratitude!".

Ayer has shared this image of Leto's Joker. This might have been a costume test.

That's my guess too based on the lack of makeup on his hands.

Eh. At the time, the name of the game was differentiating the character from Ledger.

Ayer has once again insisted that his cut was undermined and changed to copy Deadpool's tone. He posted as a response to somebody expressing doubt his cut would improve be an improvement from the theatrical cut due to the compromises behind the scenes.

Quote
The deviation happened after photography - My film was rewritten, reshot, and re-edited to make it like Deadpool. My cut is vastly better. 🙌🏼❤️💪🏼

Is Ayer going to repeat the same thing when time goes by and the cut isn't going to come out? When is he going to stop cheerleading for that creep of a supposed friend of his and start asking questions about why Gunn isn't helping get the cut released? Christ, I think I'm repeating myself by pointing this out, but it needs to be addressed.

Gunn has shown insincere encouragement for the Ayer cut in the past, and the longer this goes on, the more people are going to be on his back.

Meanwhile, I found an attachment to this screenshot of Ayer liking Will Rowlands tweet, proving Will was telling the truth all along.

So, this opening scene of Amanda Waller walking past the Superman and Batman merchandise was a reshoot. Just like the whole montage sequence of that featured some homeless guy with a sign saying "I tried" in Josstice L.

Very curious to know that Superman's death wasn't exactly the motivation for creating Task Force X, it's was simply Waller having her own agenda.

Meanwhile, Ayer has come out saying he has regrets about his Joker designs due to the overblown backlash for it. Then again, I wonder if he had any input with Joker's wholly different look in that ZSJL epilogue?

Whatever the case, he should really regret supporting Gunn, his supposed "friend".

New picture of Leto's Joker.

Ayer came out to confirm Enchantress - as well as Joker and Harley Quinn - were short-changed in the theatrical cut. This is what he said in response to a fan expressing disappointment with Joker's role in Studio Squad:

Quote
I know. It's heartbreaking. It's not what I originally shot. The reason I'm so tenacious all this is he had an actually story and purpose. It's maddening. He was presented in the worst possible light. Time will repair this. 🫶🏼

"Time will repair this"...he's either hinting on something, or not. Who wants to bet he'll say the exact same thing next year while his supposed buddy leaves him hanging?  ::)

Just when David Ayer is talking more about his cut, he makes utterly ridiculous comments that are making fans question his integrity.

He claimed that his cut was never screen-tested, and a second edit of his film was getting worked on behind his back. That sounds all well and good to encourage people to demand for his cut...until he responds to a fan who blamed Toby Emmerich for this mess (along with Geoff Johns).

Quote from: David Ayer
Toby had nothing to do with it and wasn't in leadership at that time. Toby's a good guy.

https://twitter.com/DavidAyerMovies/status/1636228753025277952

You know, if he had left it after the first sentence, fine. It's true that Emmerich wasn't in charge of WB Pictures at the time when Studio Squad was getting made. IIRC, he got the job right at the end of the year. I can even concede that Ayer is telling the truth when he said his experience with Emmerich was positive.

But to come out and tweet that Toby's a good guy is incredibly tone-deaf when he was one of the major antagonists who tried to keep ZSJL buried for years. Never mind Ray Fisher's negative experience and allegations. Yes, Ayer tacitly agrees that Johns was a scumbag, but to excuse Emmerich even after all the controversy surrounding him is just exasperating.

If that wasn't off-putting enough, he had the audacity to tweet this in response to a fan asking a question about the previous studio leadership:

Quote from: David Ayer
They are long gone and the studio has changed owners twice. There's a new management in place, people who care and respect deeply both artists and fans.

https://twitter.com/DavidAyerMovies/status/1636220820073910272

Is that right, David? You say this with a straight face even after the whole Henry Cavill debacle, Gunn's divisive approach about "we're not going to make everybody happy" and Batgirl cancellation backlash? I know I had no love for the premise of Batgirl, but even I can acknowledge it was outrageously unprofessional how the directors, actors and producers weren't notified about their film's shelving until they heard about it in the press. Does that sound like a studio respecting its artists?

You know what? I think I've had enough of Ayer altogether. Even if his cut of Suicide Squad is on the way, there's no excuse for him to be such a sycophant. Let's see if his spinelessness gets rewarded, or he will recycle the same lamenting talking points within a year or two. Unless there's an announcement. I don't think I'll bother posting in this thread anymore.

That town is all about ego and kissing the right asses. It behooves Ayer to speak positively about Emmerich no matter how big a jerk Emmerich might be. That's Hollywood politics coming into play.
