Spider-Man 2 (2004) Comic Influences

In real life, whenever I happen to get into superhero movie discussions, I kinda get a kick out of dropping some comic book trivia that it was the 1950's communist russian Red Skull (technically Red Skull #3 since it's not convoluted enough), who was responsible for the deaths of Spider-Man's parents in the funny books.

It's amusing to watch, almost without fail, their eyes just glaze over by that statement. haha

You'd think it would be a bigger deal. It was still from the classic era as a Stan Lee story, but it rarely gets brought up. Might be due to being an Annual issue, which have had weird placements in the timeline.
