Teaser:

"Imagination is a quality given a man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humour was provided to console him for what he is."

Really taking their jolly sweet time with this movie, aren't they?

There was a headless Superman cameo in Shazam, and now there will be a FACELESS Joker cameo in this movie. These pictures were leaked a couple of months ago.

Now how pathetic is that? Warner continues to live up to the pejorative nickname that fans, and myself, have given them by butchering the DCEU. Pushing away key actors who were established in this universe and replacing them with body doubles to make awkward cameo appearances. While awkwardly cherrypicking other actors to stay on.

Suffice to say, this is another movie I won't ever watch. I didn't even bother with the teaser. I just wish those despicable, incompetent dickheads at WB would stop making these movies.
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

I believe Jared Leto, though it's questionable he would return for a simple cameo, is off filming Morbius for Sony, while Birds of Prey is shooting for WB.

Course the movie could have just left Joker completely out of it, with Harley making a passing reference that they broke up, but here it looks like the stand in Joker atleast resembles how Leto's Joker's fashion sense in Suicide Squad.

Would be nice to get Leto to dub some lines when he gets done with Morbius, but I doubt it. We'll probably get this scene with Harley narrating over it that her and Mr. J are splitsville.

I think Leto's days of playing the Joker are numbered. And I wouldn't be surprised if he's put off by the idea of ever returning because of how his character was neutered in Suicide Squad. I remember he expressed his frustration over the Joker's deleted scenes by sarcastically asking "what didn't they cut?", and said he hopes they'll get released one day. Speaking of which, here are some snippets of deleted footage I found on Batman-Online's Facebook page:

Would scenes like these suddenly make me appreciate his portrayal a lot more? It's hard to say without proper context. I didn't like Suicide Squad much, and Leto didn't leave much of an impression. But at the same time, I'm not going to pile on him like. It's hard to be too critical of somebody when their role becomes perfunctory thanks to choppy editing and studio interference.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I can't say that I disliked Leto as the Joker either. I thought he was alright, and not a bad choice, but yes. It's true. The editing on Suicide Squad did not do any favors with Leto's performance whatsoever. For me, personally, I kinda got more out of his performance and interpretation with the featurette's on the blu ray, and the BTS footage of Leto playing the Joker where he's clearly enjoying himself.

With Leto returning, I definitely would not discard the notion of WB dropping him. However, I do think it was the correct choice in giving the Joker stand in that's going to be in Birds of Prey the depiction of Leto's Joker's fashion sense. Keeping him in continuity of sorts. I understand that the same actors who portrayed Captain Boomerang and Rick Flagg are returning for SS2 along with Harley, so who knows? I'm sure Leto doesn't want the same thing happening twice, and would automatically be weary because of that, and of course, at this stage, it's whatever James Gunn wants as far as WB is concerned.

Latest teaser accompanying, IT: Chapter Two.

"Imagination is a quality given a man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humour was provided to console him for what he is."

New Poster:

"Imagination is a quality given a man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humour was provided to console him for what he is."

I'm going to do my best Silver Nemesis impression, and say that the latest poster is taking some inspiration from this comic book cover by Amanda Conner.

:D

As far as what I've seen so far with promos, the main title of "Birds of Prey" rather than just go ahead with "Harley Quinn", is an unconventional choice.

Its pretty clear just who the movie is focusing on.
