Emailing WarnerMedia about the Snyder cut

I thought if people around here are going to start writing letters to WB in support for the release of B89's original sound mix in the 4K Ultra Blu Ray, it's only fair to start showing some support for Zack Snyder's actual cut of JL.

Before anybody doubts if the cut exists, here is Zack Snyder confirming his cut is "done" but it's "up to them".

And here is this cheeky compilation video, including testimony by some people involved in the production, such as Jay Oliva, Jason Momoa, Nick McKinless, and Ray Fisher throwing their support.

Anyway, I went through some trouble on the WarnerMedia site to find some contacts to email. I found three contacts on the bottom of this page:
http://www.timewarner.com/newsroom/press-releases/2019/03/04/warnermedia-announces-new-organizational-model-and-leadership

As well as the Executive Vice President, Worldwide Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for Warner Bros. Entertainment right here:
http://www.timewarner.com/newsroom/press-contacts

Please, if you're going to email any of these people, don't be aggressive or abusive. It won't help matters. Just air your grievances and let it be known.

This is what I wrote in my email.

Hello all, I hope you are well.

I'm writing to express how I used to enjoy a lot of films produced by Warner Bros. over the years, ever since I was a child. I've also enjoyed a lot of content based on DC, whether it was comics, film or animation based on Batman and Superman. And yes, that includes Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Whenever I looked at the Warner Bros. logo, I used to be under the impression it would stand for quality, more often than not.

I stress "used to", because after learning what had happened to the 2017 Justice League movie, and that the film studio refuses to release the real version of the film despite fan support - where many even donated to charity to promote the cause - I'm saddened to say I will no longer pay or watch any new content by Warner Bros. ever again.

I am absolutely shocked and disgusted to learn that the PR surrounding Zack Snyder's departure from the movie due to tragic circumstances was tainted by deception. On the 22nd of May 2017 via The Hollywood Reporter, we were told by Warner Bros. Pictures President Toby Emmerich that Joss Whedon was brought in to finish the movie with additional new scenes, but not drastically change what Mr. Snyder had planned. This turned out not to be the case at all. As time goes by and more revelations are coming to light by people involved in the production - including the director himself - the true cut of the film does exist, it has come to my attention that Warner Bros. doesn't care about the fans who want to see it. The fact that Ben Affleck has left the Batman role despite teasing a potential solo movie for years, and a lot of other actors' future in the DCEU franchise remain in great doubt, makes me suspect it must be just as painful for the cast and crew as it is for the fans.

Please, if any of you care about the fans and the customers who want to enjoy the Justice League movie as it was originally intended, I urge you to convince your superiors to release Zack Snyder's cut of the movie. Otherwise, expect more people to stop supporting your content. Trying to sweep the controversy surrounding this movie under the rug will only continue to tarnish Warner Bros. as a brand. And by extension, it will hurt DC Comics too.

Thank you,
(name redacted here for obvious privacy reasons)

You're not gonna see a Snyder cut for AT LEAST 15 years.

::)

First, you insinuated in the B89 Ultra Blu Ray thread the cut didn't exist. Now you're saying "oh you won't see it in 15 years".

In any case, I don't give a damn what you think, Paul. The point of this thread is to invite those who want to see the cut can make themselves heard. If you don't like it, you can always ignore this thread.

I'm just being realistic TLF.

Whether it exists or not...whether it's complete or not...WB are building a the franchise in a different direction. They're not gonna muddy the waters further with an alternatve film while they are doing that.

I say at least 15 years...cause I assuming by then the DC film universe will be in a different, hopefully more established place.

Oh, and calm your rhetoric "I don't give a damn what you think, Paul". Thank you.

Well then you should've been a lot more clearer in the first place. How am I supposed to know if you weren't trolling? Your first comment didn't sound exactly benevolent. Neither did your post doubting the cut's existence in the other thread.

Regardless, like I said in my email, I'm quite happy to never spend another dollar on that corporation again if they think they can sweep this under the rug.

Besides, if the cut didn't exist, you wouldn't have these people showing their support. Snyder could've easily debunked everything and said "I never got to complete my cut, what we see in theaters is what we've got", but he didn't.

I don't "troll"

That's good to know. Please just keep in mind to be clear in the future and nobody will get the wrong message.

Wait...what's wrong with the B89 sound in the 4K version?

It has a new Dolby Atmos soundmix in which they changed the sounds of the Batmobile, Batwing, gunshots, explosions, etc. They embellished other sounds...for example when Joker is radioing for the helicopter there are sound effects of the burning Batwing over his voice.

Elfman's score has been reworked and sounds fantastic, especially in the opening credits.

I found this online yesterday.

Meanwhile, despite Warner has withdrawn from Hall H this year, I've heard an online movement of fans planning to travel to San Diego for the Comic Con, to promote awareness of the cut. They'll be handing over these banners over the event, by the sounds of it. Good luck to them.
