Also, after the recent lawsuit over Watchmen, I do believe the 60's series is now able to be released.
I sure as hell hope so!!

I have given a name to my pain, and it is BATMAN.

Sorry but I'm not familiar with this. What happened with Watchmen?

Long story short, Fox somehow had some right to doing Watchmen so they sued WB. In the end, WB can release Watchmen and Fox can keep Batman 66, so now they can release it without b.s from WB.

I really can't wait.  It seems those of us dig the 60's show are in a sad minority among the fans.  I can sorta see why the show fills so many fans with bile but on the other hand it saved the Batman comics from cancellation and proves yet again that Batman is whatever the fans need him to be.  :)

It depends on where you go on the net. There are a couple of 60's forum, like Batman66.com. The problem with the mainstream sites, like SHH, is you get mostly a younger crowd who, unfortunately, just doesnt get the history of the character that supposedly "love" so much. There are exceptions, but for the most part this is the sad truth.

YES!!! How long do you think it will take for the DVD's to come out?

If I had to wager a guess, Id say summer 2009.

Its such a shame too cause theres so much that the younger crowd is missing, and this is coming from a 25 year old who still isnt that old. I would love for more people to broaden their minds and not be so set on ONE interpretation, because for me, I love pretty much everything Batman and can appreciate it for what it is, I would just love it if more people could be that way.

But with TDK being the biggest film of the year and as successful as it was, I doubt that TDK bandwagon will stop anytime soon!

The report linking the DVD rights to the Watchmen movie was questioned by this site:

Hopefully, they're wrong.

That report was from September. I do believe the final court decision was in the second week of October. Hopefully we will see this series on DVD soon.
