Danny DeVito Interview

We all love Batman Returns and Danny DeVito's performance as The Penguin, right?  That's why we're here, to celebrate those films and those performances.

Sometimes I wonder.  It seems we'd much rather talk about politics or badmouthing Star Wars or filmmakers like James Gunn, and discuss practically anything else but the very frickin films and people behind them this site was created to celebrate in the first place.  Just a reminder for all of you who seem to have forgotten, this site is called 'Batman-Online.com' ya all.

Personally, I think we should start scrapping some of the off-topic boards and topics and go back to actually talking about the Batman films and people involved in them, but anyway, here's my chance to try to get things back on track by posting a great Danny DeVito interview (in which he references a part in our favourite Batman director's next film, Dumbo - hopefully, us true Burton Batman fans will honour our fandom by checking the film out when it's released in cinemas next year):

Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

Personally, I think you're a sh*t-stirrer who has nothing of value to contribute to the forum nowadays. It's quite obvious you're deliberately starting a thread that indirectly focuses on Danny DeVito's opinion of Donald Trump. Not to mention the fact there have been plenty of people who have talked about Batman-related content, including Burton, if you actually paid any attention. Which I'm sure you have, you're just being disingenuous about it to get a rise out of people.

QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

You've hit the nail on the head.

Gobbs: I'm so sick of political talk here and we need to get back to Batman movies. So let's get back on track with an article of liberal loser DeVito badmouthing President Trump with disordered narratives. But don't reference that part, stay on topic!

One of the most blatant pieces of trolling you'll ever see on these forums.

Gobbs has no value here. But keep him around. Censorship is what his kind are all about.

Gobbs: "We should stop talking so much about politics."

Also Gobbs (in the same GD post): "Here's a link to DeVito trash-talking Batman."

Also Gobbs (after he reads these posts): "Dear moderator, these hostile meanie-heads are attacking me for no reason, waaaaaah!"

The only people who mention (and condemn) politics around here seem to be the lefties. If you guys can ever find a way to get over your Trump Derangement Syndrome, the rest of us would love to talk about Batman with you.

Where did you see him trash-talking Batman? I don't recall DeVito ever saying anything bad about Batman Returns.

Wow!

You really have no respect whatsoever for the people who made our favourite movies.

This site was set up to pay tribute to the Burton Batman films, not the Zack Snyder films which seem to preoccupy you all, and yet all I ever see is you people badmouth the very people who made the Burton films.  Clearly you're not fans.  Maybe you should set up your own tribute site to Snyder's Randian movies elsewhere.

That Burton-specific gormat went away years ago, hence why the BMO FB page celebrates TDK's 10th birthday. It's not even specifically for movies anymore, which is why it's called Batman Online now. It's for everything related to the character. Synder's movies are most relevant right this minute so that's why they kind of dominate the conversation. There aren't many Burton conversations that haven't been had yet, tbh.

Nice attempt at a misdirect there though (not really). You may have a career in politics one day.

The colorful one has made a typo.

And that's okay. I'm guilty of one too – I typed 'disordered' when I actually meant 'distorted'.

Autocorrect SOCKS and it can go to HE'LL.

I like DeVito's 1992 performance as the Penguin. I think it's probably the single best villain portrayal in the franchise. But just because the guy played the Penguin 26 years ago doesn't mean I love everything he says or does in 2018. But I do respect the guy's performance, and that's the honest truth. My personal opinions don't come into the equation there.

Catwoman gets it.

Thanks for proving our point that you are nothing but a sh*t-stirrer, you hypocritically pathetic two-faced dickhead. At this point, I don't care if you suffer from a mental illness or not, you've seriously topped yourself with this latest moment of idiocy. It's unfathomable.

I can't comprehend how you've created a thread about BR with the intention to fight people over politics. But what's even more disgusting to me is how you could sink so low to troll fellow fans - who you've known to be big Burton Batman fans for years - with such incredibly delusional, baseless accusations. Shame on you.

By the way, I thought you said you warmed up to BvS following the circumstances of Snyder leaving JL? I knew you were lying. I just love how you revert back to the groupthink drivel over these films i.e. saying they represent "Randian" propaganda with nothing to back up that claim. What's funny to me is if the critics the treated Burton's films with the same level of unfounded distaste, you would've hated those films as the sheep you are.

You're an absolute disgrace johnnygobbs. Get your head sorted out and stop embarrassing yourself.
