Interesting news, and yes, this is set in the DCEU. But personally, I don't have a great enthusiasm for it. I can understand that it being a period film during the Second World War era might be the right material for Spielberg, but as for the wider picture for the DCEU, I don't see the point. But who knows, maybe I'll come around to the idea.
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

My only exposure to the Blackhawks was the Justice League cartoon's episodes with them. I loved those though, so I bet I'll love this. The JL episodes where the League went back to fight in World War II and fix the timelone were some of the best, loved all the different stories that were going on. Seeing a naked frozen Hitler twice was a bit unnerving though lol.

If I remember correctly, Said Tamghmaoui's character in Wonder Woman was supposed to be a reference to Blackhawk. And judging by the actor's tweet here, it appears to be the case. Nice spitting image there.
