QuoteHow can they get away with saying its a better film than The Godfather, and it deserves to make more money than Titanic?

In the last 6 months I have seen Tim Burton, Jack Nicholson, Michael Keaton, Batman, The Godfather,Titanic, Jaws, and Bob Kane all attacked by these looney's! And for what? Records?
Are they that insecure that they need these records to prove to themsleves that this is a good film out of fear that it isnt the 'masterpiece' they want it to be, because in reality it is a fast paced popcorn action flick?

Yea i never got that. Frankly i don't give a flying fcuk what a movie make plently of horrible movies make lots of money but i guess it's all they have.

I've also noticed that these nolenites love trying to bring down any other superhero movie thats doing well, take Ironman for example a movie that ended up being one of this years best movies and every bit as good as TDK, but they will go to extremes to try and bring it down for no reason at all.

I have said many times that i liked TDK it's in my top 3 fav Batman movie's but when it comes right down to it, it's just not and never will be anything like the legend tha is Jaws.

As for Heath Ledger all i can say is this i hate all of these Fu(KING death dark knight fans (as i like to call them). An as for his Joker it was nothing short of exellent but.....in no way should get an Oscar because like it or not it will be for all the wrong reasons and will be taking it away from someone that really earned it.

Sandman, dont take this the wrong way, I like you! lol

Yeah and not only do they attack any other Superhero movie, they attack any movie (and the people associated with the movie) they feel is a threat to their 'beloved' TDK's status and reputation.

I hope people dont get me wrong, I really like TDK, I just dont like the bullsh1t fans that come with it and the hype.
I havent seen the Ironman, but I do hear its a really good film. Its funny how it was overshadowed by TDK.
But I tell you one thing, WB were going under this year apparently, until TDK. That film saved them. You know advertising is one of the most powerful selling points in the world. Movie companies know that and WB marketed TDK like no other film in history, using the internet, posters and TV - all starting from last october or so when production wrapped.

They especially pressed it when they looked like they were going to go under, forcing upon the public that this was a 'masterpiece'. It was last chance saloon and they created massive hype! That coupled with Ledgers death made this the most curious film for a long time.

Yup WB really knew how to take advantage of the situation, they knew how to promote it and what group of people to aim it at. I must say though i never liked how they use HL death to hype it even more truely a sick move :-X.

I don't think they did at all.  It was unavoidable to promote the Joker character, so I think WB handled that element with respect.

The interest in TDK due to Heath's death was always going to be inevitable.

Agree completely. I thought they did a good job with the marketing campaign after his death. They just finished what they started.

Yeah WB didnt, and I am glad they done the whole Joker campaign. I dont think Ledger would have wanted it any other way.

But it was others that used his death - like the oscar campaign for instance.

I feel like its really crappy how much Ledger's performance overshadowed Eckharts, he was one amazing Two-Face.

I have given a name to my pain, and it is BATMAN.

Sorry mabye i didn't put it as well as i really should have. It wasn't as much WB as fans and other people that used his death to try and prove that this was the greatest movie blah blah blah and just being gigantic fan of his it well just pissed me off quite a bit.

Same i really was surprised at how great he was in the role he played both parts exellently and was every part as great as Ledger.
