I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread dedicating on fan films people have made over the years.

Of course, this thread wouldn't be complete without 2003's Batman: Dead End, featuring the Alien Xenomorph and the Predator. A great little short with surprisingly high production value.

Another great fan film is 2011's Batman: City of Scars, made by the same production team behind the Super Power Beat Down Bat series, Bat in the Sun. It's another Batman-Joker morality story, but with a twist. I enjoyed this short a lot.

Here is a fan film of The Dark Knight Returns made last year.

Feel free to share fan videos if you find any.
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

Of course Batman: Dead End is the benchmark fan movies are compared to and still one of the best ever made.

Some others I like.

RIPPER: A BATMAN FAN FILM (2016)

As the creators themselves say in the video description, this is a fan film heavily inspired by Gotham by Gaslight.

BATMAN: ASHES TO ASHES (2009)

A brutal French fan film featuring the Joker and Harley, visually inspired by the likes of Sin City. There are parts (8:08) where Batman looks like the Kelley Jones Batman come to life.

Some great "Versus" videos (Batman vs Vader, Batman vs Deadpool etc.) are essentially short fan movies. This is one of my favourites.

I loved and cherished that fan film when I first started watching it. FINALLY a Batman in live action that seemed fairly similar to the character I'd been reading in comics for years.

But then...

Seriously. Whiskey tango foxtrot? You know? I mean, I guess I understand that the director is a fan of those movies or those crossovers with Batman. But... I just can't even. That was the jump-the-shark moment for me in that fan film. I had a fairly ambivalent view of the Batman movies up to that point at the time Dead End came out.

But in that single moment, that director went further over the top than Schumacher ever dreamed in his wildest imagination.

Dead End's ending, while outlandish, has high levels of drama. Batman has barely survived an encounter with one Predator, and now he's up against an entire alley of them. He's basically going to die. I really like that. But alas, it's true the film becomes something else due to the presence of those Aliens and Predators. It's not what I'd like to be the norm, but for a very short unofficial film, it doesn't bother me that much.

I watched this awhile ago, it's about a homeless man telling the tale when he witnessed Batman rescuing a woman from two drug addicts. As you can see in the thumbnail below, this fan film uses a replica of the 1989 Batsuit. I love how the actor mimics Michael Keaton's mouth. :D

I found another Burton Batman fan film, this time featuring Victor Zsasz and Danny Elfman's music.

Here is a three part fan film called The Batman Chronicles. I like the make-up they used for the Joker.

Part 3:

Here is this snippet from an upcoming fan film featuring Anton Furst's Batmobile.

This probably the darkest fan made animated Batman video I've seen yet. I like the art, except for the Daredevil-style mask that Batman wears. Having his nose exposed doesn't suit him.

Here's another Burton Batman fan film about a cop who is saved from corruption. Gotta love the nods and props to B89.

This other video is not a fan film, it's a collection of images generated by AI software. Looks amazing, and freaky.
