DC fans and their petitions...

Has any film inspired more Change.org petitions than Batman v Superman? First there was the petition against Affleck playing Batman:
https://www.change.org/p/warner-brothers-remove-ben-affleck-as-batman-bruce-wayne-in-the-superman-batman-movie

Then DC fans petitioned against Screen Junkies because they made fun of Man of Steel. No, really. They actually petitioned against a YouTube comedy channel for its alleged anti-DC bias:

Then they petitioned to get Snyder booted off the DCEU (I sympathise with the sentiment behind this one, but I'm still not signing it):

And now, for the latest campaign, they're petitioning to stop Disney from paying critics to give non-MCU films bad reviews. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up:

As representatives of the DC fan base, I think we owe it to humanity to start a petition protesting the more delusional DC fans from creating further petitions. It's hypocritical, I know. But since those other petitions have clearly proven so effective, I think it's the only logical way to proceed.

Can we start one telling them to go f*** themselves? Or is that too harsh?

The wording could use a polish, but the underlying message seems sound to me.

sometimes the best way to show people the error of their ways is to turn the tables and reverse the roles so they can fully understand what their actions accomplish

QuoteFilms like Days Of Future Past did receive good reviews due to the fact it came out in 2014 when there was hardly any competition from  MCU films. Had the movie been released in 2015 against Ant-Man it would have gotten the Man of Steel treatment.

The MCU had THREE films come out in 2014 (Thor 2, cap 2, and Guardians) with two of them receiving very good reviews. 2015 only had two MCU films (Avengers 2 and ant-man) and neither were overly successful critically. Man of steel only had to compete with one MCU film (the luke warmly received Iron Man 3). The dark knight rises got very good reviews despite going up against the avengers that same year.

QuoteDeadpool would have also suffered the same fate however it was released in February when there was no MCU movies being released at the time and was not an immediate threat

It would have been good  for the MCU had deadpool failed on two fronts; 1) after the 3rd superhero film in 3 months, some people are getting fatigue from the industry. And there are comparisons being drawn from all three 2) had it failed the way the amazing spider-man series did, it would increase the chances of Disney obtaining the characters distribution rights

Alice Through the Looking Glass is Disney, isn't it?

Clearly Disney forgot to send off the checks in the post bearing in mind that the film currently stands at 14% on Rotten Tomatoes.  :-X
Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

QuoteWe need this site to be shut down because It's Critics always give The DC Extended Universe movies unjust Bad Reviews, Like

1- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016

2- Suicide Squad 2016

Batman would totally kill people in our world. He couldn't tolerate the stupid.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday, lol. I don't think I've ever seen a petition that wasn't stupid.

You know I always try hard to stay neutral on the Marvel vs DC debate just as I tried to stay neutral in the Burton vs Nolan debate until I realized what nutjobs the Nolan clan were and relented towards the Burton fans and I may end up doing the same. Batman v Superman I think we've all accepted why so many reviews were poor even if we didn't agree with them but how many people have actually seen Suicide Squad so far? Seems awfully pre-emptive to simply assume the critics are wrong. The notion that marvel or Disney is influencing critics here is ludicrous; as there's no MCU films coming until November and I don't see a basis for saying that suicide squad failing would be a good thing for Marvel as these films do attract new fans for the genre.

I'm glad we can all agree how dumb these petitions are.

It's not as if these reviews would seize to exist if RT didn't.
