One might have imagined that after the triumphant DOFP, the X-Men series had finally found its groove.  Unfortunately, it appears that the word on the new film isn't too good.  It has received only 2/5 stars from Empire Magazine, and it is currently sitting at 43% 'rotten' on RT.  :-X
Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

It's up to 51% now. Evidently some of the critics forgot to open their paychecks from Disney[/sarcasm].

Well, that's a shame if the movie isn't up to standard of First Class and DOFP. I liked those a great deal. I'll see the movie anyway, though. I may just disagree with the critics.

I liked it alright for the most part. It's no 'Days of Future Past', but better than some of the previous entries in the X-Men franchise. Just not THE best. I appreciated the serious tone the film had with Magneto and Apocalypse waking up in modern times, and adjusting, as well as demonstrating his power to others, but felt some scenes slowed the film down. Speaking of slowing down, I do agree that, once again, the fun 2-3 minute Quicksilver scene was most definitely a highlight.

I actually liked it better than Quicksilver's "Time in a Bottle" scene in Days of Future Past, though admittedly, I am more of a 80's music guy.

I'm a seventies and eighties music guy.

What eighties song do they use for the Quicksilver sequence in this film?

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) - Eurythmics

I'm pretty sure from now on, whenever I hear this song, Quicksilver will be in my head.  ;D

This has to be one of my top ten deleted scenes that should never have been deleted.

I really didn't care for this film but this scene would've made it much more enjoyable.
