I just wanna say how good the shot is when Batman leaps off the building into the subway chasing Two Face. How the camera follows him down. Brilliant shot :)

anyone else like this shot?
Ohhhh, that looks like fun! Lemme try! *Lemme try!* Ball up the fist, reach way back, and assert your... OW!!

Was that the part where he had spoke to Chase before jumping off the rooftop and landing into the Batmobile? Because I agree, that's an admittedly cool shot.
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

that is a cool shot, but no, I meant the shot after the Nygmatech party. Before Harvey sets the gas trap in the subway.

It's very cool.

I really love the score to that and the subway scene, especially the really perilous sounding music as he's in the fireball and then Elliot's Batman theme just booms triumphantly as he appears.

Right. My fault, I didn't read your post properly.

The shot of Batman rising out of the flames were pretty good, I must admit. He gets a lot of flack for the neon lights, but there were times when Schumacher knew how to get good angles of Batman.

And no, I'm not talking about the body and ass close-ups.  :-[

Sure you aren't.

Emerging from the flames, descending onto the neon gang, jumping down into the batmobile and jumping down into Two-Face's trap are all fantastic.

Crashing Nygma's party was pretty good too.

Clooneyman gliding towards Freeze after the batmobile is frozen is also worth mentioning.

Revisiting this again, and yes, this has to be one of the most underrated Batman shots ever.

I wouldn't be shocked if Rocksteady took some visual cues from this movie for the Arkham games. Particularly from what I've seen of Arkham Knight.

Detractors will likely dismiss the shot as video game looking. But as John Dykstra said on 4:38 of the Visual Effects of Batman Forever DVD segment, animation allows the possibility to bring the character to life and still make it believable in pulling off otherworldly feats. As opposed to trying to get a real actor to rehearse this movement forever and NEVER getting it right. In my opinion, that shot looks better than most CGI that I see nowadays.
