I really like the appearance of the Arkham Asylum Batman, too. It's classic but has that vibe of darkness to it. Yes, he's wearing the underpants - but Batman can wear whatever he damn wants! The realistic damage the suit takes over the course of the game is a nice touch as well.

Yeah, I also liked that Batman looks like a total Badass in AA. It's like Conan wears the batsuit, LOL.

I wonder if there are some other unlockable outfits alongside the armour you get when you finish it once. God of War has several extra looks for the main character, Kratos, when you beat hard mode etc. With this attention to detail, I wouldn't be surprised if they sneaked some easter eggs for fans into the game, e.g. a Batman Begins outfit if you beat hard mode. Who knows.

That would be good but I don't think that is the case.

Batman Arkham Asylum: The Batman game the fans were waiting for.

anyone played as the Joker yet? How is that?

I really like the look of the Batmobile in the game. I think Batman 3 should have something like that.

Mark Hamill is amazing in AA, free from the teen confines of BTAS we finally see the best Joker in any medium for me.

Finally a perfect representation of the clown and the psycho.

The death screen where Joker trips up while giggling and walking away is AMAZING its the little nuance like that that set it apart.

"Do i look like i care about money?(laughs) I just want my monsters doc! and if you dont give them to me?, well it wont be funny!"

PERFECT!!! ;D ;D

Yeah, he was pretty solid. Right up to the roided up Joker boss battle. I'm not that keen on that. Though I suppose it's a natural progression given the plot, but I can't help but feel it's rather bland.

There's just so much to like in this game...

It's as if Batman, thanks to the guys at Rocksteady studios, finally had "his revenge": since the 3D generation kicked in with PSX, several Marvel characters got solid video game entries (e.g. Spider-Man, X-Men) while Batman was always treated with frustrating (Batman & Robin - based on a crap movie anyway), crappy (Dark Tomorrow), half-baked (Vengeance) or at best OK (Batman Begins) games that did nothing but tarnish his image in interactive entertainment. AA is indeed one of the best Bat-everything a fan could ever hope for, even if their relationship with games isn't as "hardcore" as it had been some years ago.

When all is said about the quality in the technical departments, the graphics, the gameplay, the audio, the rock-solid plot and acting, another thing that stayed with me is that AA presents a grandiose and Gothic vision of Batman which feels (to me) like a cross between some dark Shadow of the Bat storylines of the 90s with the visual style of some stories in the Heavy Metal comics magazine.

I'm almost glad that TDK was never made into a game - even if it was done with care, it couldn't be much better than the BB game - staying true to the film's plot would limit the game's world. What we got instead was much better, visualised as something that compliments but is not limited to copying the style of the movies, and was specifically designed as an interactive experience and not a movie tie-in.

I really hope a sequel is in the works.
