what do you think happened to Edward Nygma after the end of BF?
Ohhhh, that looks like fun! Lemme try! *Lemme try!* Ball up the fist, reach way back, and assert your... OW!!

Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

It still works fine for me...no red cross, yet.  ;D

But what I'm saying is, didn't we see what happened to Ed at the end of Batman Forever?  He ended up incarcerated at Arkham.  Batman & Robin even confirms his incarceration by giving us a shot of The Riddler's costume hanging up in Arkham storage.

Maybe there's a better more substantial answer out there and I'd love to read it if there is, but I can't think of one.

If he was ever released from Arkham, Edward wouldn't find employment with anyone. His name would be blacklisted. He'd be back to living between the cracks in a rundown slum somewhere in Gotham.

Unfortunately, the link is now broken for me too.  :(

Basically it was a GIF of Ed Nygma in his Arkham cell saying "I'm Batman!"

ahh haha now i understand.

Its a shame as Nygma had everything would ever want - he could have sold nygmatech and lived quite confortably for the rest of his life.

Somehow i think this would not have been enough for him.

I don't see Nygma as the type to ever rest on his laurels.  He wasn't interested in wealth and luxury.  He wanted to impress the world and demonstrate to them how brilliant he was.

Finances were a means for his true goal; he wanted to be smarter and outdo Bruce Wayne. Like many bad guys he wanted power over money.

He likely remained in arkham for quite a long time. He was still dangerous.

I don't think the shot in arkham in the next sequel dictates anything. Two face's suit is there. It's possible it was there for evidence.

He murdered Fred Stickley (although I'm not sure if murder was ever substantiated in that case) and he kidnapped and was presumably willing to kill Chase and Dick.  Plus, he teamed-up with a psychopath who had already killed several people.  I suppose it's possible that if no direct links were made to Stickley's murder, Nygma might have been released in the long-run since he would never have been found responsible for any murder himself, but that would surely all depend on his fragile state of mind.
