is there any signs? newspaper articles in the movie? etc
Ohhhh, that looks like fun! Lemme try! *Lemme try!* Ball up the fist, reach way back, and assert your... OW!!

What I read from the production designer Barbara Ling, the setting was suppose to be a combination of the past and future combined to give it a timeless look that didn't place it in any given period. Some 20 years later, I would say that thinking was right. Both Schumacher films look as contemporary as any film out there.

yeah I agree but is the year seen anywhere in the film?

im a stickler for that sort of thing - I don't think there is.

Hey I watched this Wednesday and saw no date to indicate any year in question for this movie. I would say we're in the clear.

i think its safe to say its an alternate 1995?

I suppose so, galenj01. But it's not definitive. We aren't sure even if Batman takes place in an alternate 1989 or not.

im sure on the Jack Napier wanted sheet Eckhardt hands out outside Axis Chemicals it says 1989 on there somewhere.
