I hate using this word, but it does look "epic".
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

Haven't seen the vid yet but I'm excited about it.

What I like from the 'Batman v Superman' trailer is that Snyder and co seem to be addressing one of the biggest complaints levelled against 'Man of Steel', the part Superman played in the destruction of Metropolis, by portraying Superman as public enemy number one, and Bruce Wayne/Batman as having a personal vendetta against Superman in terms of the obliteration of the 'Wayne Financial' building and the consequent casualties (Wayne having apparently been present on the day of the Superman versus General Zod fight, rescuing a little girl in the process).

In this one aspect at least perhaps DC might finally have a slight edge over the Marvel Studios films, which have otherwise been stellar; which is to say that one of my few issues with the MCU movies is the way everything seems to be resolved and return back to square one by the end of each movie (Tony Stark should be even more hated than Superman following the AOU events and yet he seems quite relaxed by the final scenes).  At least 'Batman v Superman' seems to be heavily acknowledging the events of 'Man of Steel' and how it plays in the dynamic between Batman and Superman.
Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

I think it looks amazing. From the Robin suit that The Joker wrote on, to all of the Batman and Superman fights, along with Lex's dialogue. I really like everything I saw. So much to take in, and it's all great.

This. Looks. Freaking. AMAZING!

OH MY FREAKING GOD! AMAZINGGGG!

I know we've just seen a few pics and a trailer but I am like sold on Ben as Batman right now. And I think I've made it clear I am QUITE fond of Jeremy Irons ;) it's great to actually see him instead of just hearing him! Gal looks AMAZING as Wonder Woman! And I loved Henry and Amy and the rest of the peeps in MoS so that part's great too. About the only thing I'm not sure about is our "Edward Nygma in Batman Forever" Lex Luthor.

Plus it looks like the Bat Buggy gets destroyed. Bleh. It was growing on me, damnit. lol.

Officially freaking excited for this movie!

And remember what I said about the part where Bruce is staring at the suit in the Cave and how I said that sold me on Ben. There's another part in the trailer, when he reads the defaced newspaper clipping. The rage in his eyes. Oh my. It's amazing. Just from what little bit we have seen I am like totally on with this. He would have to completely just be horrible the rest of the movie to ruin this.

I repeat: it's amazing.

Damnit, is it 2016 yet? No? Ugh.

This looks amazing, and I'm thinking as re-watchable as B89 and BR.

It's refreshing to watch a Batman movie trailer where the only issue that sticks in my mind is "I wish Alfred looked like Alfred..."

Seeing Bruce Wayne running right towards a disaster while everyone else is running away...breathtaking.

Even more breathtaking was seeing how fluid this Batman can move. That Dark Knight Returns shot right before he moves off on the grapple, as well as the glimpses of him fighting? Felt like a comic book brought to life.

Affleck's bringing the right intensity to this role and Snyder's making sure this feels like the comic Batman in flesh and blood. Definitely more excited for this film now. Crossing my fingers that the script is better than what we've seen from DC's output in the past few years and that Affleck and Snyder knock this version of Batman out of the park.
That awkward moment when you remember the only Batman who's never killed is George Clooney...

Don't be dissin' my Jeremy, yo. lol. How would you improve him?

I don't know if it was intentional or not obviously but it really reminded me of the scenes of people running from the collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11 and the firefighters and policemen were running towards it. Breathtaking indeed, not to mention heartbreaking.

I'm a newbie to the comic dealio but it definitely looks like a badass gritty comic brought to life. I totally can't wait! But I've got to. Damnit. :(

*plays with hair* is it 2016 yet?  :(

I didn't care for what I saw of Lex Luthor either, looks wise or in terms of what we saw of Eisenberg's kooky, creepy performance (where's the whole 'Brad Pitt mixed with Richard Branson' vibe Snyder promised us?)

What is Snyder's problem with bald characters?  Honestly, when I heard Jeremy Irons was cast I thought that we would finally get an Alfred that looked like the classic comic-book version with the bald head and thin moustache, a look I'm certain Irons could have easily pulled off.

But apart from those two issues, you're right BatAngelus, this is a very promising trailer that gives me a lot of hope for 'Batman v Superman'.  :)
