Given they left so much to interpretation, you can take a lot from the "How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?" line. It could mean that this Bruce Wayne has experienced a lot of people giving him false hope e.g. Harvey Dent becoming Two-Face, Catwoman not able to abandon her criminal ways, Mr. Freeze can't move on from despite Nora has been brought back to life (like in TNBA, where he becomes completely ruthless) and Jason Todd becoming the Red hood.

If they were to make a prequel, the possibilities to explore this backstory are endless.
QuoteJonathan Nolan: He [Batman] has this one rule, as the Joker says in The Dark Knight. But he does wind up breaking it. Does he break it in the third film?

Christopher Nolan: He breaks it in...

Jonathan Nolan: ...the first two.

Hey colors, have you heard of some criticism aimed at Martha Kent over her words of advice for Clark at the farm? Apparently, some people from Superhero Hype are complaining that her telling Clark not to feel that he owes the world anything is yet another example of Snyder's "vile" depiction of the Kents (as someone describes it).

I don't see anything that Martha said that suggested that Clark shouldn't save the world. All I saw was a concerned mother telling her son not to do anything out of a sense of guilt.

It's Martha trying to calm her son, basically saying you can do as you please. Not to be pressure or bullied into doing anything he doesn't want to. But don't let that truth get in the way of slamming Snyder. He sucks, right? The critics said!

I'm pretty much right there with you. It's a very maternal speech to give. "Be what they need you to be... or don't. Just do what will make you happy." Anybody who follows a selfless, giving vocation can tell you about discouragement, hopelessness, burnout, etc. What Martha did was enable Superman to remember that he isn't necessarily doing this for the approval of others. Rather, he's doing it because it's the right thing to do. It takes time but he ultimately absorbs that lesson.

The comics, Lois & Clark, Smallville and probably other things have shown the character wrestle with similar issues. Hell, my reading of Superman III is that, after the events of STM and S2, Clark rekindled a connection with Lana for similar reasons. Not even Reeve was immune to this in my opinion.

As ever, BvS is being held to a standard no other adaptation of Superman has been expected to meet.

I'll kick yours too.

Justice League spoilers here. I may need someone to wipe away my drool. This sounds sweet.

QuoteThis report also claims that Aquaman and his followers in Atlantis don't exactly get along with Wonder Woman and her Amazon warriors, due to a "thousand year conflict." It isn't known how much this conflict will be explored in Justice League Part 1, or if both Aquaman and Wonder Woman could show up in each other's movies.

Oooo conflict.

It does sound sweet but wipe your own drool.

Kevin Smith confirms Affleck and Geoff Johns are co-writing the solo Batman movie:

Quote"[Ben Affleck has] been working on a solo script with Geoff Johns as well. Last conversation I had with Geoff Johns I was like are you working on it? and he said 'Yeah,'" claimed Smith. "I said, 'What's it like man, how do you co-write with someone?' and he's going 'We just break it up, he takes halves and I take halves and then we write, and then we switch material, and then he goes over mine and I go over his.' That sounds so f-ing fun, man."

Presumably one of the two new release slots set aside by DC earlier this week is intended for this film.
