as long as WB doesn't do something idiotic and pull the plug on this
Well, the annoying moaning going on at the Batman Online Twitter account will help see to that. I must live in another universe.

Very doubtful.

"Master Wayne even you have gotten too old to die young. Though not for lack of trying." Great chemistry between Irons and Affleck. I loved this interpretation. Bring back Ben!

Seconded.

"He's contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape," he says, adding, "there's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option."

Affleck's previous writing credits- Good Will Hunting, Gone Baby Gone, The Town- have all gotten praise and Oscar nominations. I look forward to what he has in store for the character.
That awkward moment when you remember the only Batman who's never killed is George Clooney...

I like to think BvS had more to do with the story Goyer left Snyder than anything Chris 'Argo' Terrio, Affleck's past collaborator brought to it.

I'm really optimistic about future Affleck solo Batman outings, especially if there's anyway he can direct them.  For what it's worth, Gone Baby Gone in particular is a superb film (although it helps that it is an adaptation of a Dennis Lehane novel).

I also hope that we get to see traditional versions of classic Batman characters.
Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

Hell yes!

Sounds great.

So Affleck wise we'll have:

BvS
Suicide Squad - cameo form
Justice League One
Justice League Two
And hopefully the solo film gets off the ground

That's a solid run if it ends there.

I kind of have a feeling that as long as the fan reception to Affleck remains positive, he'll be back for more. I think his initial depressing interviews when the film came out were likely being disappointed in the critics trashing the film, now that the fan support and box office intake have been bigger, hopefully he's more upbeat about his character.

One interesting piece of trivia to note here; suicide squad will mark the first time in his career that Affleck reprises a character. Some actors don't like doing it, for instance Michael Keaton had a tough time on Batman Returns because he felt he was imitating himself. At this stage of his career, it may be a tougher thing for Affleck to pull off not having done it before. Though the only characters of his which made any sense to reprise were Daredevil and his Kevin Smith characters.
