I am the same as you, thats why I wanted to sleep on it first. I always can judge a film better in time, and if it sticks in my mind and how it effects me.

Yeah i'm the same as you i went in ready to see the greatest Batman movie of all time and left dissapointed. But after a while the more i thought about it the more i started to like it. I think after you see it a second time you will enjoy it more.

But i still think that Batman89 and Begins were both better then TDK as great as it was there were still thing that i didn't like in it. Take for example i loved The Joker but everyone was saying it was going to be The Joker from the comics and it wasn't, now don't get me wrong im HL's biggest fan and loved what he did but i guess it just wasn't what i thought i was going to see. Two-face stole to show for me though :).

yeah, i wouldn't want to be a "hater"  ;)

Just because you didn't like the movie as much as some people doesn't make you a hater. Only when you wanna be a dick to the fans about it lol but i don't see you doing that.

Yeah Sandman there was something about Heaths Joker that was missing. It def wasnt the Joker from the comics. He did take it in a different direction which was good. But maybe in a TOO different direction. I also agree Two-Face was good.

I did enjoy it, but I think its the 3rd best Batman film.

I've seen TDK twice.  Probably will see it again on Saturday.  Hey, a lot of people want to see it with me, what do you want to hear??  Anyway.  It holds up on repeat viewings, I think.  The action retains a lot of the original tension, the characters seem a bit more nuanced the second time 'round and so forth.

It's not even close to the Batman film I'd make if I were to direct one... but since that'll never happen, I can enjoy TDK.  It doesn't quite match up to the classic Burton standard but it's still good.

I agree about not living up to the Burton standard.

I will watch it again, and probably get it on DVD when it comes out lol
But its not the masterpiece it is being hailed.

Movies of 2008 will be remembered for the biggest cash in movie in history - Sex and the City.
And the most over hyped film ever - The Dark Knight.

Some bat fans you are. I am not a Burtonite or Nolanite, I am a Batmanite. I loved The Dark Knight, and find it to hold up extremely well with repeat viewing. If anything, it gets better. It is the best Batman film yet, and I don't know how it is going to be topped.

We all have our preferences.  I dig TDK, it's good, but Burton just scratches the itch for me better.

That's fine. I love the Burton films too.

Exactly so am I, so i'm not blinded by the hype of this film. I think it is entertaining, but not as good as some critics and Batman/Nolan fans say it is.
Theres more holes in the plot than a culunder!
If one thing we should all be proud as Batman fans that we have had 3 amazing actors play the Joker on film if anything. But thats it. Though even Heath isnt enough to save this film.

Ledger is the best of the three by a mile, in my opinion.
