Filming, likely just for exteriors begins later this summer. Above you can see the Maitland house going up. It is now a virtual guarantee that one way or another we will learn the late of Adam and Barbara. I'll bet they were moved on to the other side early for good behavior OR....

if they do appear it will be late in the film, maybe the final act. I'm thinking maybe ala Dr Sleep where we must finally go back to the Overlook to exercise one last demon  Maybe the Maitlands are taken hostage and are aged to death again, which would allow them to just be their age as they slowly transition. I'm suspecting at least cameos.

I kinda think if the Maitlands appear at all, it would be very brief. Perhaps something like Lydia and her daughter saving the day, but the ultimate fate of the Maitlands being ambiguous at best. Lydia, along with her daughter, are now at this point in the process of departing from the Maitland property where Lydia decides to take one final look at the house, only to see, and as a call back to the original, the Maitlands in the attic window waiving at her as a farewell. Giving Lydia both relief and closure. Burton could also incorporate a shot from behind the Maitlands using stand ins as they approach the window to wave at Lydia, just to further indicate to the viewer that what she's seeing isn't just wishful thinking.

Stop having good ideas and setting my expectations!

;D :D

What would you say is the probability of Jenna Ortega, miming Lydia to Harry Belafonte's "Jump In The Line (Shake Senora)", right before the end credits hit?

I'm thinking that's a very likely way the film ends with a high note. Though, at this moment, I doubt we'll see the football players once again doing a dancing jig to the song along with Jenna, but rather Beetlejuice himself, especially if they go the route of being to a degree influenced by the Beetlejuice animated series (ala similar to how "The Real Ghostbusters" cartoon impressed upon "Ghostbusters 2"), and possibly even his wife (depending on just how Monica Bellucci is presented of course)? She's a wild card to me right now.

Hope there is a gag where we see the old barber still sitting there talking, but as a ghost

More construction photos. Although not featured here the bridge is going back up too.

Here's a recent video of the exteriors.

Maitland House is about done.
