We all know Returns was 100% Burton's vision, but B89 was a mixed bag.

So many people had big stakes in it and an opinion to back  them up.

Taking the end product into consideration, who can Batman 89 be attributed to the most? Who had the most influence on what eventually ended up on the screen?

Based on the excellent thesis posted on this site, Burton's influence was minimal, compared with the producers.
I appreciate ALL dark, serious, and faithful Batman films.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and just thought i'd add my thoughts.

Visually and artistically, B89 is very Burton. It's just great to look at but his creative control was minimal as the previous post rightly said.

welcome to the board. i agree with you on that. 8)

Thanks raleagh for the welcome.   :) And yeah Burton didn't have complete creative control cause this was his first blockbuster and the movie execs probably didn't want to take any chances.
