Kilmer's sonar suit I like better than those but what I do like about them is that they remind me of medieval knights, kind of. Don't you guys agree ?
"Bats frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread."

I take it no one thinks of those suits the way I do.

if nothing else this film had great visuals. Also the teaser trailer for the Schumacher films were both excellent; the bat signal surrounded by a question mark and the frozen bat logo.

I remember I loved the sonar suit in the first publicity pic I ever saw, back then.

The ice suit literally looks like a Kenner action figure with silly colour patterns, like e.g. Polar Blast Batman etc.

The other suits in the Schumacher films look fine (if you remove the nipples). Robin's "Nightwing" suit in B&R was nice too.

While looking at it now I tend to think they're a bit too shinny and stiff looking, I've always had a soft spot for the Forever Sonar suit and Robin suits. Its the first time we got the big black Bat sans yellow oval in live action (I think at least) and I'm also pretty sure this is the first time they've showed Robin having gauntlet fins like Batman, a looks that's now been carried over to the comics.

That kind of irked me at the time but I came to like it, actually. It at least made sense for Tim, the ultimate Batman and Robin fanboy. Of course he'd want a costume that mixes design elements from the Batman and old school Robin outfits. Fits the character. Somehow, that rationalization retroactively nullified my quibbles about the fins on the Forever Robin outfit. Because I'm weird.

Didn't like Clooney's suit at all. It was the begining of the end for the yellow chest oval and since then it hasn't returned. Batman's suit should always be black on screen. It's just better.

Did like Kilmer's suits very much. In fact the black one he wears for most of Batman Forever in my opinon is far better than Keaton's Batman Returns grey/black suit. It's truer to the original movie and far more spectacular looking to me than anything Bale wore too. The sonar suit was good because it was different and right for a new type of finale. Story wise there was also a reason for him to actually wear the thing (with all the Batsuits having been destroyed except for this one prototype) unlike the snow suit gear in the next film.

Remember that publicity pic too. The costume looks more blue than silver in that making the duo look more like a modernised Adam West and Burt Ward. Like it or not those tributes to the tv series Dynamic Duo is what got audiences excited in 1995.

I recently bought this poster and had it framed : http://cache2.allpostersimages.com/p/LRG/49/4916/7MW9G00Z/posters/batman-and-robin-george-clooney.jpg

I know it's from the most maligned of the Batman movies, but when I was a kid and saw that image I fell in love with it and it still kind of resonates with me all these years later. I, too, know Batman & Robin is the worst of them all because it purposefully made fun of its title character, but that poster image (and all the other character posters that advertised the movie) are part, for better or worse, of my childhood.

Besides, I think it's a cool poster  ;D !

well one thing all Batman movies have in common is solid work with the posters, promo artwork etc. The Returns posters are still the best, though.

I really like the cover of Batman & Robin's comic adaptation, I wish I could find a hi-res version without text to turn it into a bluray cover.

That's a really great cover, SilentEnigma ! You know, I check the forum every day to read the new posts and all the things you knowledgable Batman fans know that I don't and I always find your posts to be terrific to read and I personally agree with the way you see the Batman character.

I also bought Keaton's character poster from Returns, I'll have it framed soon.

Do you like that Clooney Batman poster I bought and framed ? What do you think of it ?
