Does your love for 89 give you excitement for TDK?

Im curious. 89 was Batman vs. Joker. It had a dark feel to the movie with both Burtons vision, Antons designs, Elfmans music, yadda, yadda. We all know this. :)

With TDK and once again Batman vs. Joker, it also seems to have a darker feel to it than Begins did. A different atmosphere. Does any of this help in your excitement for the new film? If you have it?

Definately the darker approach is welcome.  Whilst Begins had its fair share of action, I don't think Batman had a scratch on him at the end - compare with Keaton in the bell tower.

So far all the trailers have emphasised the joker and dent.  But given the running time we should see a good exploration of Batman.

As for my love of 89 enhancing my excitement for TDK?  It surely does.  I'm sure we will get more from the movie than the average movie-goer.  I am sure I will be comparing the two as I watch TDK.  I really hope TDK is a compentant rival for B89, infact, as I have always said, I hope it betters it.

Ive been saying, 89 is classic to me. Its solidified as my favorite movie and doesnt have a rank for me, it just is. It sets above any list I could put together. Im ready for something new. Im ready for another #1.

Couldn't have put it any better!  Like i said in one of the blogs - B89 is a fundamental part of my childhood.  It's more than a movie.

I wish I had kids already, so TDK could be part of theirs! (it would also give me an excuse to buy toys!)

I dont need no stinkin' excuse. lol :D

I'm happy that we are getting another Batman VS Joker movie. I felt that 89 had a good balance between Batman and the Joker so I have faith that TDK will give the goods.

i think its going to be one heck of a film and i cant wait to see Heath Ledgers interpretation of joker in comparisson to jacks, it'll be intresting to see who comes out on top. ROLL ON 25th JULY!! ;D

Welcome to the board dale01.  Are you going to a midnight screening or anything?

A couple of my relatives know how hyped I am for this film, and they also have said "I havent seen you like this since the Keaton movie". They asked how many times I planned on seeing this one, as much as 89? I doubt it, but I plan on probably 4 at the cinema. At least.

I saw Batman 18 times in the theatres.
