I haven't seen it yet. Can't get a chance to see it so will wait for Blu-ray. Really want to see it though...I do like a bit of Bond!

The movie was fantastic. Definitely rank it up there with the best of Bond. Craig is excellent.

It's one I recommend you see in the cinema if possible.

Wholeheartedly agree.

Truly outstanding film!
"Imagination is a quality given a man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humour was provided to console him for what he is."

I still can't figure out why they made Craig look so old with the cropped hair and all.

This is supposed to be the James Bond re-boot we are in now and they have Craig looking older than he really is ........ more like a 49 year old Bond nearing retirement instead of the 35 year old Bond that only recently earned his Double 00.

Skyfall was grand scale, but I still rate Casino Royale much, much, much better.

In ways this did not feel like a Bond film, but just a big scale action/spy thriller.

And I know I am in the minority here, but I did NOT care for the main bad guy at all.

To me his over the top portrayal was not menacing, creepy and psychotic as others felt --------- to me it seemed goofy, comical and almost spoof like......... almost as though he was trying to be the Joker in Batman.

It was big budget, big action ... but it could have been any spy, any good guy.
The action and effects were there ........ but I did not feel the spirit or essence of the Bond character in this one.

Yes, it was good.
Certainly better than Quantum of Solace
But not as good as the super hype and media buzz would lead one to believe.
Great marketing helped this one a lot I think.

I will watch it again in a week to see how I feel after a second viewing, but something was missing for me it seemed.

I rate Casino Royale among the best ..... if not the best in the series.

Skyfall might be # 5 or # 6
I will see what I think after a second viewing.

I just know the first impression was not a great one.
Good ....... but not memorable.

The meat and potatoes were there ..... but the soul and spirit of James Bond seemed to be missing in my eyes.
"Bats frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread."

50 Years of Bond, from Dr. No to Skyfall:
That awkward moment when you remember the only Batman who's never killed is George Clooney...

What an outstanding video. I got chills towards the end when they had M's Tennyson poem recital played over footage from all the Bond actors chronologically. Skyfall was a rock solid addition to the series.

question (spoiler):

is there a bond girl that has ever NOT gotten killed? i mean holy f***! every one i've looked up gets killed. what's the point of having a hot girl in every movie just to kill them off? the new one is on the cardboard poster thingy at my walmart when you walk in the door for the dvd and i was like "holy sh*t she's hot! google time!" lol and sure enough SHE GETS KILLED TOO. damnit.

question/rant over. lol.

Off the top of my head...
Sylvia Trench
Honey Ryder
Tatiana Romanova
Pussy Galore
Domino Derval
Kissy Suzuki
Tiffany Case
Solitaire
Mary Goodnight
Anya Amasova
Holly Goodhead
Melina Havelock
Octopussy
Stacey Sutton
Kara Milovy
Pam Bouvier
Lupe Lamora
Natalya Simonova
Wai Lin
Christmas Jones
Jinx Johnson
Camille
Eve

I haven't compared myself, but I think the number of Bond women who survive to the end of the movie is much greater than the number who haven't.
That awkward moment when you remember the only Batman who's never killed is George Clooney...

ok obvs i didn't google enough of them. lol.

That's a smashing video!  Terrific year to be a Bond fan.  :)
