Precisely. For example, BR's atmosphere is set one way. I find it hard to imagine other cities existing outside of this location, eg. a sun soaked Metropolis. It's like, this is a Batman story. Nothing else comes into it. Batman is concerned with Gotham City alone. That's his and the viewers focus for the two hours. It's as if Burton has given a "Batman universe" where Gotham is under as you say a snow globe. Batman is the sherrif and the villains run amok under it. Actual reality or not, that's the feeling I get.

I updated the article a bit. Btw, does anyone own the money used in the movie? Im asking so Ill know which year is printed on them

Nice updates. I like the Batmobile machine gun comparison.

Are there any dates on the BR newspapers that give clues to the time period?
i have two production-used newspaper props from returns... no dates on either.

I don't suppose the newspaper props contain authentic 'stories' do they d osborn?
Johnny Gobs got ripped and took a walk off a roof, alright? No big loss.

Seems like they are alternate reality films; no reference to pop culture and aside from Truman no real people mentioned. Though it should be noted that usually past presidents still carry the title 'president'.

unfortunately, no... it's all gibberish aside from the headlines.

Depends on how you view it. I find it fortunate, as it just strengthens my snow-globe opinion.

What about the CIA's file on DDID Nerve Gas?
