Has anyone been watching this? It's the new TV show created and written by Jonathan Nolan. We're two episodes into the series and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's much better than I was expecting. Based on the previews, everyone thought it would be a rip-off of Minority Report. But now everyone's saying its 'Batman meets Quantum Leap'. I think that's a pretty accurate description.

Batman – the show focuses on a civilian crime fighting project using advanced gadgetry and funded by a reclusive billionaire. Caviezel's character is a haunted, mysterious hero skilled in weapons, martial arts, detection and surveillance techniques. Emerson's character is the equivalent of Alfred/Lucius Fox.

Quantum Leap – the hero has to protect a stranger about whom he knows nothing. He has to gather information about his target and the people close to them, identify the source of the threat and resolve it without anyone finding out what he's really up to.

I'm now thoroughly convinced Caviezel should play Bruce Wayne in Batman Reboots (20??). He has a subtle, understated style of acting that's perfect for the Batman persona. He's able to exude a sense of menace without going overboard. And physically he'd be perfect for the role: he's 6'2 with black hair, blue eyes and a chiselled jaw line, just like the Batman in the comics. He'd have to bulk up a bit, but I can't see that being much of a problem for him.

Anyway, I'd recommend this show for any Batman fans. So far it's very promising.

I haven't seen a full episode,  but I do have an interest in this series. Mainly because of Michael Emerson, following Lost. But actually, even without that hook, the concept would've attracted me anyway. It's a good one. Cold, clinical numbers coming from a computer. Not knowing if the number is a victim, perpetrator or witness adds doubt, investigation and humanity to it. The show is going very well in the ratings as well apparently. I'll have to get on board, starting from the beginning, soon.

Been checking out every episode, and have been enjoying them alot.

Glad to hear it's been recently picked up for an entire season. The show truly deserves it.

Honestly, I was a big supporter of Caviezel landing the role of Superman back in 2004 when the casting wars on who would be the next theatrical Superman following Christopher Reeve were in full force. The guy is a talented actor, and one that has demonstrated an ability to play a variety of different roles when provided the opportunity. But yeah, Jim as Supes is something I suppose I'll always wonder about.
"Imagination is a quality given a man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humour was provided to console him for what he is."

Seems to me like it may be the only good show. I tend to avoid new shows at the start, networks have a penchant for killing the good ones so i'd rather wait and see if they last. I too enjoyed lost and should give this one a chance.

I've got the series saved on my DVR and finally saw the first couple episodes.  I'm enjoying it so far and like how the two leads are written and play off each other.

I was a little surprised by how much was cut from the original pilot script.  Nolan's earlier drafts had more flashbacks about Reese's past with his girlfriend as well as a confrontation scene at the end between him and Henson's character.  I guess I'll see more details of that in the episodes to come.

As for Caviezel, I could see him as Batman.  In ep. 2, his character fought against The Chechen himself, Ritchie Coster.  Wonder if we'll see him go up against other Batman alumni soon.
That awkward moment when you remember the only Batman who's never killed is George Clooney...

Caught up on the show now.  Definitely been enjoying it so far.  There's always at least one badass moment from Reese in each episode.

I'm glad they've given Detective Carter more to do in the last couple episodes than just show up late to the crime scenes and miss Reese once again.  It's also been rather ironic that Reese and Finch show disdain towards the cop that's trying to help them, while showing respect towards the one trying to catch them.

SPOILERS:

One thing I'm not too crazy about is Enrico Colantoni as Elias.  It was a nice twist in the "Witness" episode, but his performance was much more believable as an innocent witness in fear of his life.
Once the reveal was in play, the actor didn't really change his performance, so I didn't find him to be very threatening.  I wasn't expecting a complete transformation into an over-the-top supervillain, but I at least expected the big villain of the show to match Caviezel's intimidating presence and intensity.

I've fallen behind a bit on this show. I've got to do a catch-up marathon sometime soon. Glad to hear others are enjoying it though.
