Haha, but honestly, I don't understand the rationale that the comic book designs for the Batcycle and the Batwing are too comic book-y and unrealistic, while the Batpod and The Bat look way more absurd.
That awkward moment when you remember the only Batman who's never killed is George Clooney...

There had to be a reason as to why Catwoman looks like a cat. Nolan has the goggles resembling 'ears'. When adapting a comic book, and terms such as unrealistic and comic booky are used as negatives, it's time to direct other movies.

Nolan has these explanations behind his items, eg. this suit will allow to turn your head. But so what? At the end of the day, film is a visual medium, and robo Bat is aesthetically inferior to what came before in the Burton films.

I wonder if they'll come up with an acronym to justify calling it the BAT.:-\

Backup
Assault
Transport

Batshaped
Aerial
Tank

Batman's
Airplane
Toyseller

Something like that.

LOL! Thanks, that just made my day!  ;D

I think Silver Nemesis nailed it in the last one.  Beware Batman's Airplane Toyseller!

These pictures just surfaced today of the Dark Knight Rises toys and it shows Catwoman (cat ears pulled back over her eyes to be goggles/shades) with a gun.  Has the gun replaced the whip?  Is the whip too "unrealistic?"

Also- Bane looks hilarious.

QuoteHardy's Bane has another defining characteristic that perhaps you've heard about, or perhaps have heard and didn't understand: a curiously accented voice that's further muffled by the rogue's high-tech muzzle. "It's a risk, because we could be laughed at — or it could be very fresh and exciting," says Hardy, adding that the voice he developed was influenced by many factors, including a desire to honor the comic book character's brains and Caribbean heritage. "The audience mustn't be too concerned about the mumbly voice," says Hardy. "As the film progresses, I think you'll be able to tune to its setting."

Bane's Caribbean now? Interesting...

Here's a new image of Catwoman and Batman.

And another one. Though I'm pretty sure this one is at least partially computer rendered.

And fanboys say Nolan is more faithful to the material  ::)
Although personally, I don't care whether he's Brazilian or Caribbean, just so long as he's portrayed decently and convinces you he is Bane.

Still having a hard time getting excited though.
Why is there always someone who bring eggs and tomatoes to a speech?

I thought Santa Prisca was in the Caribbean?

It is. But based on the preview, Bane's accent certainly didn't sound Caribbean. Everyone assumed Hardy was using a British accent.

To be fair to him though, his accent might sound clearer in the finished movie. It doesn't help that his voice is so muffled by the mask.

Ah right. Sorry I thought you were saying he wasn't Caribbean :-)

Yeah, the voice is going to be a worry for me...mostly as a source of fun poking by certain quarters as Bale's voice in TDK. We dont really want our Batman films to be made fun of for a ill thought out "creative choice"
