New Rise of the Planet of the Apes trailer, I for one liked Burton's films and the older ones and this one looks very promising.

I prefered the time paradox of the original "conquest" as opposed to this ... as someone described it Deep Blue Sea with monkeys.

tim burtons my all time favorite director, i think hes the most inspiring out of all of em as far as what i like creatively. but i haveto say his apes movie was no good for me. maybe i could try a rewatch but it just seemed like a bad fit.

this movie looks like a really exciting action thriller, but its gonna be weird seeing nobody in suits.
There is no better Joker. Just different portrayals.

I just don't know about this one. I've seen and enjoyed the originals, except for Beneath the Planet of the Apes because I haven't seen all of that one yet, and I really respected Tim for really trying to do something outside of his style, but for me, "Apes" is dead. Maybe I'll think otherwise after I've seen this though. I absolutely love "Conquest"!
Why is there always someone who bring eggs and tomatoes to a speech?

I would say this was one of the more enjoyable films I have had the pleasure of seeing this year.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes absolutely reinvigorated the Apes franchise, and overall was just a very well done, updated version of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes that definately leaves the door open for follow-ups. As a fan, I look forward to more. The CGI is well done and it has indeed come a long way since Jar Jar Binks. I think what got me was the emotional qualities of the movie- the "mad" scientist who is doing wrong for all the right reasons isn't a mad scientist at all, he's a human in pain dealing with a tough home life. I don't want to say too much to spoil this for others, but I strongly suggest going to see it. It was well worth the ticket price.

Caesar is home

Damn right he is.
