You know, considering they're thinking of a JL movie, I think doing a Batman set in the Burtonverse wouldn't be a bad idea.

However, story-wise it can follow B&R, with minimal of references. It can, at heart, Batman 3, then.

Definitely within the Nolanverse, the JL is illogical. The previous series could have worked, Schumacher references Superman and Metropolis in both films.
