Does anyone here remember The Zorro tv series from 1957-1959 produced by Walt Disney?

I grew up watching this tv series when I was very young.  I remember it coming on every Friday, at midnight on the disney channel.  It is one of the best shows that Disney has ever produced.  It was this series that got me into fencing.  I have fought and trained in the art of swordfighting for over 5 years and have won many medals and trophies.  When people asked me, why did I join fencing? I had only one word to answer them, Zorro.

Bob Kane has expressed that Zorro was a huge influence for his creation of THE BAT-MAN.  This is one of the many reasons, why I love the character.  You can see the similarities. Zorro's black stallion Tornado is a way to represent the batmobile, Don Diego and Bruce share the common routine of being the playboy by day and vigilante by night.  Zorro leaves and enters through a secret passage under the house, he has a personel servant who is both friend and ally .  I believe that if you are a fan of Batman you would greatly enjoy Zorro, heck even Sherlock Holmes, but that's another story.

Anyway, if you have seen this show, share your thoughts.  Here is the shows original tv promo.

Ah, classic stuff there. I remember being hooked on Zorro when it was on late at night on the Disney Channel. From there, I watched both versions of The Mark of Zorro and I was even more hyped when The Mask of Zorro came out.

Don't remember that one but i did enjoy the 90's series

Just remember the Disney series and the film"Mask of Zorro" was actually pretty good, captured the spirit of adventure very well.

I can post some episodes if anyone is interested?

I watched that show a lot when I was younger, but then I kind of dismissed it when I got older. Disney, as stated previously, started showing it at midnight, and I turned it on(originally because it was the only good thing on), and immediately re-fell in love with it.
Why is there always someone who bring eggs and tomatoes to a speech?
