Daredevil Gets A Reboot

Been hearing rumors about this for years. Personally, I don't think the last one was as bad as some of my fellow fanboys made it out to be. But it certainly wasn't as epic as the Batman films, which is how a DD movie should be made.

Still, I would rather Marvel get the rights back.

Haven't seen the first and I won't be seeing this.

It's kinda funny.  The Affleck Daredevil didn't make so much money that a sequel was a done deal... but it wasn't such a flop that making a sequel was necessarily a dumb idea.  I am a little disturbed by the trend towards reboots lately.  I mean, I'm glad that studios are committed to making comics films (how could I not be?) but some things need a little time to bake and maybe improve with a second helping... and I sincerely think another Affleck Daredevil movie would have.

Speaking as someone who knows jacknothing about Daredevil comics, the movie itself was nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.  It was fun popcorn entertainment and ya know what?  I don't have a problem with that.

Besides, Michael Clark Duncan rocked as the Kingpin.

Well, I think Affleck said a while back that he didn't want to do another one. And the Elektra spin-off flopped so I was pretty confident that series was over.

But I think the key point is that Fox doesn't want to lose the rights to the character. We'll probably hear of a Fantastic Four reboot in a few years for the same reason.

If they still have Michael Clark Duncan as the Kingpin, they can reboot the crap out of the rest of it and I'll be happy. Jon Favreau can stay too!
Why is there always someone who bring eggs and tomatoes to a speech?

I read where the film "Mr and Mrs Smith" is getting a reboot.

What a joke.

What the HELL is going on with reboots?!

Everything is getting rebooted.

The only thing that needs to be rebooted is HOLLYWOOD!!!  I am so sick and tired of reboots, sequels, spin-offs, and adaptations from television shows!!!  Look Daredevil, you had your chance and you failed.  Move on.  I wish they had learned their lesson with the Hulk movies (although I liked the first one with Eric Bana over the Ed Norton version), both were sub-par at the end of the day.  And let's not even mention the Punisher movies.  Enough is enough already.  Seriously a Spider-Man reboot?  A Daredevil reboot?  A Mr. and Mrs. Smith reboot?  What's next, a Weekend at Bernie's reboot?  Too late, that's already being discussed!  I need a smiley of me screaming at Hollywood.  Instead I will just do this!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I'm still waiting for Weekend At Bernie's III, where somehow Bernie gets elected President.  Hillarity ensues.

When you think about it, we've already had reboots before but they just didn't call them that. Take Batman Forever, for example. Other than Gough and Hingle reprising their roles, it was a complete different movie. It was a sequel in name only.

Personally, I don't care as long as the movies get better. I didn't like Superman Returns and advocated for a reboot, which is probably going to happen in the next few years. But really, if they recast Lois, ditched the kid and had a great script I wouldn't mind a sequel.

I'm still waiting for Weekend At Barack's III, where somehow Barack gets elected President.  Hillarity ensues.
Fixed.
