I like the Nolan series. To a degree. I do not like the Schumacher series. Watching the Schumacher Batcave being blown to smithereens is therapy. Watching the Begins Wayne Manor burn is tragic.

This one is a really boring looking manor. One of the things I hated with the Schumacher films is that Wayne's place was just a big house with a red brick facade. I've seen pictures of an enormous estate in the US with elements of neo-baroque, but can't recall its name. It looks even cooler even than the British castle in B89 or the fake "Addams house" seen in Batman Returns. THAT house should be used for Wayne manor experiors.

I kind of like the Web Institute's look.  It seems more authentic for a typically American mansion, as opposed to a British stately home.  So props to Schumacher on that one at least.

The Vanderbilt estate, which was used in Richie Rich may be the type of building you're thinking of Silenig.  If not then I've still got to namecheck it since it's precisely the type of massive old money estate that one can imagine Bruce Wayne or one of his neighbours living in, although it might be a little too cheery for the Gothic look Wayne Manor is probably supposed to inhabit.

Thats a cool picture.  To me it looks a little to castley for a bruce wayne mansion but thats just my opinion.  I would definetely live in it!

I always liked to imagine that the Waynes were only one of the richest families in Gotham.  I can't help thinking that if the Waynes were truly the most powerful family in the city, things would be a lot better without Bruce having to dress up and fight crime as Batman.  Maybe I'm exposing some of my socialist leanings here, but I genuinely believe that crime often spirals top-down, and that the people at the bottom only turn to crime thanks to the guys at the top of the social pyramid.  Otherwise, Bruce simply becomes just some rich bully beating up those with less power than him.
