Its dark mood kind of fits the British sensibility, much like Mars Attacks! which is also comparatively more popular in the UK than it is in America.

Man, I wish they would have a Batman all nighter in the US. I would really love to see Batman Returns on the big screen again for the first time since 1992..... :)
